Say hello to Jay Faded - The House DJ and Producer

Meet Jay Faded, a Northampton born DJ and producer who specialises in the House music scene. 

As I continue my deep dive into the world of music, I sat down with Jay Faded to talk about his journey, passion for music, and what’s next on the horizon. 

Music has been in his life since primary school. 'I used to play instruments like the trombone when I was around 9 or 10,' he recalls. But everything changed the day his dad introduced him to DJ decks, which sparked a passion that would define his future. 

As we spoke, his childhood friends laughed, reminiscing about the times he’d blast his latest beats from his bedroom window for the whole street to hear. Even back then, it was clear music wasn’t just a hobby for Jay; it was his calling. 

Jay started taking music seriously after finishing school, determined to prove doubters wrong. “Music is just my passion. The energy and vibes make Drum and Bass so different from every other genre—it brings people together,” he says. 

One of his greatest strengths as an artist is his ability to blend different genres and discover fresh sounds. “Passion keeps you going,” he adds.  

But like any independent artist, Jay faces his own challenges, especially sticking to a routine. “I have a lack of discipline. Being independent gives me so much free time that I end up doing everything else during the day and then remember I need to produce at night.” 

Jay Faded’s journey is just getting started, and his drive to push his sound forward is unstoppable.
