Hi everyone, and welcome to the official Amped Up Magazine website! I’m Janique Lothian, the journalist and editor behind both the magazine and this site.

Amped Up is a Northampton-based music magazine and blog dedicated to showcasing the incredible talent of local artists. Our mission is to celebrate the diverse sounds and voices that make Northampton’s music scene so unique.

Here, you’ll find a blog documenting my journey through the magazine’s production process giving you a behind-the-scenes look at how it all comes together. You’ll also discover exclusive content related to the magazine that you won’t want to miss.

I chose to create a music magazine because, simply put, I love music—and let’s be honest, who doesn’t? Whether it’s through our headphones, during our commute, while we clean, or just relaxing in our free time, music is part of our everyday lives. So, why not channel that passion into something meaningful while uncovering new artists and sounds along the way? That’s exactly what Amped Up is all about.
