Powering through

Hey everyone! 

I hope you’re all enjoying the content being shared for Amped Up magazine so far, and there is still so much more to come. 

As I continue juggling interviews, social media and writing for the mag, I wanted to give you a little progress update on how things are going. 

Even though Northampton is a relatively small town, it’s full of people with an undeniable passion for music, and capturing this spirit is exactly what I aim to show in this first issue. 

So far, I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing around six amazing individuals. Each conversation has been inspiring in its own way, highlighting just how powerful and personal music can be. Hearing their stories has deepened my appreciation for the impact music has on people's lives. 

One challenge I’ve been facing is finding women from Northampton who are involved in the local music scene. One of my core goals is to make this magazine as inclusive and versatile as possible, and that means showcasing a range of voices from both men and women.

While I know there are talented women out there, it’s been tricky connecting with them so far. But I’m determined to keep looking. 

On the production side, I’ve also been getting a head start on layout and design with Adobe InDesign, just to make sure everything’s on track before the deadline.
